Finance function is core to any firm. The objective of having finance in PGDM is to impart the necessary skills and knowledge for effective management of finance function. The teaching and research interests of the Finance and Accounting Area spans a broad range of issues such as, corporate disclosure, management control, corporate finance, corporate governance, asset pricing, market microstructure, management of financial institutions, risk management, financial regulation and empirical methods in finance. The faculty members are vigorously engaged in both academic and applied research.
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT
The objective of this department is to train students to apply concepts and techniques in marketing so that they become acquainted with the duties of a marketing manager. More specifically, they will be exposed to the development, evaluation, and implementation of marketing in a variety of business environments. Through cases, discussions, exercises and activities, participants would be given opportunities to perform the role of a marketing manager. At the end of this course, participants should have acquired analytical skills in solving marketing related problems and challenges and be familiar with the strategic marketing management process

DECISION SCIENCE & ANALYTICS MANAGEMENT
To inculcate critical and systematic thinking mapped to industry practices in area of decision science consisting of analytics, information technology, operations & systems. Provide exposure to students on tools and techniques of decision science which maximize their effectiveness for working in various industries like Manufacturing, FMCG, ITES, BFSI, Logistics & Supply Chain, etc. Decision science department aims to create industry leading managers who can solve industry problems, analyze and optimize various problems of decision making.
To drive the journey of management students under international business into understanding & application of management concepts; concentration upon strategies pursued by nation states in their interaction with international business enterprises and nongovernmental organizations to widen the scope. The study of international business enables understanding the cultural and social dimensions of the global marketplace. Immersion in a foreign environment is one of the best ways to develop a global business mindset and discover potential. The international business experience acquired will distinguish one from peers and thereby giving a competitive advantage in the job market.
